Summer Weddings

I attended a cute, quaint very unique wedding a couple of weeks back held in a tiny church. THe bride was stunning, the sun was shinning, it was a beautiful day :)..

It is at moments like this I'd like to take a step (or ten) back,
Back to the safety of what I know, what was predictable,
No, this living on the edge, putting myself out there is too scary.

Being real is scary - letting others see the real me.

No hiding.

No pretending.

It's all real, no games, no masks. The raw, true me.

If they reject this me, it hurts the most. It'll take the longest time to heal.

But what if I choose safety?

A well insulated heart..

But one that won't feel, the heights and depths of love and laughter,

The deliriously delicious happiness of friendship,

The eager anticipation of amazing events,

It will also feel the depths of pain, the agony of heartache,

But oh, how it will soar......

So, I choose to jump, to freefall.....

because I know I can trust You
